Dear all,

It is my pleasure to introduce you to the newly established Western Ethiopia Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventist Church. After almost one century of the mission work in Ethiopia, God has brought us to the point where we witness two Union Missions in Ethiopia. Under the same mission and purpose of the global Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Western Part of Ethiopia has privileged to have its nearer Headquarter in East Wollaga Zone, Nekemte Town, 300Km away From Addis Ababa, the Capital city of Ethiopia. This chance comes to us just to facilitate the errand of the Gospel Message and making the people in the territory the disciple of Christ.

The dream and vision of the past leaders, the prayer and contributions of God’s children in the past and present, added together with the effort and sacrifice of God’s lovers and supporters of His Church in the country or abroad have helped us realize this historical event.

It is my prayer to all who have already contributed; be it financial, idea, moral or material support to put the basic thing which is the building of the office, to ask the blessing of God. It is in progress and no doubt that it will be finished very soon as we are preparing it for inauguration which will be done immediately as soon as the pandemic stops and travelling will be permitted.
The Lord, who knows everything, made us speak the message of hope to the dying world in the region. We have much work to do and a long way to go. God, who has many friends, for whom he gave everything with His son, will never leave His servants alone. You are one of them. To tell you the truth. We have no other option except to say with Nehemiah “The God of heaven will give us success. We, his servants will start rebuilding…” Neh. 2:20 In behalf of WEUM of SDA, it is my invitation again that you join us in finishing the work on this earth and go to our home which is heaven. Be part of the blessings. Jesus will come soon.
